Port Arthur ISD-Comptroller
Five years accounting experience at a high level of responsibility.
Previous experience in a school district environment preferred.
Two or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of governmental accounting and auditing principles established by the Governmental Accounting System Board (GASB).
• Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate financial data and problems, develop data, and recommend improved procedures.
• Knowledge of financial application and accounting.
• Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use computerized accounting systems and perform analysis of information.
• Ability to use personal computer and software to develop complex accounting reports, spreadsheets, and databases.
