POSITION TITLE: Field Service Agent (Part-time or Full-time)
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
LOCATION: Edison Plaza, 350 Pine St., Ste. 500, Beaumont, TX 77701
SALARY: Contingent upon experience and skills
LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 12 months/231 days
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master’s Degree required, Doctorate preferred.
* Superintendent certification and experience required.
* Recognition by peers as a competent, successful educator with an emphasis on instructional leadership.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Expertise in researching education-related subject matter.
* Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others.
* Excellent presentation skills in both small and large group settings.
* Ability to travel extensively and interface with multiple central office personnel.
* Ability to oversee multiple programs and budgets.
* Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with state-level organizations such as TEA, TASB, and TASA.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Establish an effective working relationship with all Superintendents in the Region.
* Work with Superintendents and Administrative Teams in the home district.
* Provide school board training for all members of the Field Services School Board Training Coop.
* Charter school’s liaison.
* Function within the policies and administrative procedures of Region 5 ESC.
* Perform additional duties as designated by the Executive Director to ensure the effective operation of the Service Center.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Supervisor of one Administrative Assistant for Field Services.
* Custodian of the Superintendent’s List Serve.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Extensive travel and working evenings and weekends required.
* Multi-tasking, scheduling, and meeting multiple deadlines.
* Work cooperatively with a wide range of personalities.
* Maintain confidentiality.
