Position: Program Coordinator: School Improvement
Department: School Performance and Support Department
Location: Edison Plaza, 350 Pine St., Suite 500, Beaumont, Texas

Length of Work Year: Full Time
Qualifications: Experience as a campus administrator; five or more years preferred
Education: Master’s Degree required; Mid-Management or Principal Certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
* Knowledge and experience with School Improvement
* Experience in analyzing student data and using it to improve student achievement
* Experience in delivering professional development in a school setting
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a flexible manner
* Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Possess characteristics of reliability, dependability, and enthusiasm
* Knowledge of State and Federal Accountability Systems
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Attend training and utilize the training to support assigned school districts
* Achieve certification to lead Effective Schools Framework Diagnostics
* Support and progress monitor TEA required school improvement interventions in assigned school districts.
* Review Targeted Improvement Plans and provide feedback to LEAs
* Attend TEA/ESC/LEA conference calls with schools in improvement as an active participant
* Coach leadership teams on best practices as defined by the Effective Schools Framework
* Provide professional development aligned with the Effective Schools Framework
* Attend training on Research Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS)
* Achieve certification to serve as a Local Academic Reviewer
* Attend Bluebonnet Overview Training
Working Conditions: (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors):
* Make changes and adapt to varying responsibility with multiple deadlines
* Extensive travel both in and out of region
* Work cooperatively with a wide range of programs and personalities
* Maintain confidentiality
* Regular attendance is expected and required

This may require you to be available by phone, email, or video conferencing to confer with Service Center or district personnel.
